Our primary breed is the Miniature American Shepherd. But once in a while we have a litter of Petite Mini Goldendoodles from our only doodle "Lolly" and our toy poodle "Tootsie". They make the absolutely cutest and tiniest little golden doodles you have ever seen!

Want to get on the waiting list for a puppy?
We care about our puppies very much and we want to make sure we place them in the best homes possible.
1. If you are interested in adopting one of our puppies, please fill out our Puppy Application. You can find it on our contact page. We read and promptly respond to every email or application in an effort to get to know each family we work with. If we feel that you would make a good home for one our puppies we will add you to the waiting list (its free). Please Note: We order people on our waiting list based on those we feel would make the best homes for one of our puppies. So do a good job on your application ;) After that we prioritize on a first come basis. We are not your typical breeder selling to anyone wanting to buy. We really love our puppies and it's our responsibility to choose the very best homes for them. We reserve the right to refuse a sale to anyone.
2. Once the puppies are born we will contact you when it's your turn to choose a puppy and put a down a deposit on it. With our Golden doodles we do not have people choose their puppy until they are about 4 weeks old. Because there is a much greater variation in coat type and size in golden doodles we allow everyone to wait until these things are more definable before selecting one. So when they're born we will have you place a deposit to hold your position on the pick list, until puppy pick day around 4 weeks old.
3. When you've chosen and placed a deposit on your puppy we keep you updated with pictures and videos of your puppy until they can come home to you at 7-8 weeks old. We are always happy to answer any questions you may have.
Our puppy raising style
​Here at Impression Dogs, when we have a litter of puppies we take their first 8 weeks of life VERY seriously. As babies it is critically important that everything they learn about human interaction be entirely positive. ALL our puppies are born in our livingroom and our kids are taught how to properly handle puppies and spend hours playing with them every day. We spend time from the minute they are born, gently holding them and talking to them. As they grow we provide them with all the necessary veterinary care, clean environment and social interaction with children, adults, and other animals. Yes, it's a lot of work but we feel it's so worth it! Our puppies are purposefully raised to become healthy and well socialized pets, perfectly suited for family homes. We are certain any puppy you get from us will have a happy, confident view of his world by the time it comes to your home!
What we provide with your puppy

AKC papers. All our Miniature American Shepherds are AKC and each puppy goes home with AKC registration papers. [Golden doodles are not a recognized breed with the AKC. However, our golden doodle parents are AKC registered. We choose not to register the puppies with the CKC (Continental Kennel Club) as it is basically a scam registry.]

Vet checked. Puppies will be able to go to their new homes at 7-8 weeks old. By this time they will have had their first set of shots, been de-wormed at least twice and had a check-up with our vet.

Goodie bag. All puppies go home with their own puppy bag! This contains a small bag of puppy food, treats, a toy, a bone and a puppy blanket that smells like their momma!

Health record and training tips. Each puppy goes home a folder which contains their AKC papers (if applicable). Their current health record, and a few pages of our personal puppy raising tips and suggestions for potty training and more.

Health Guarantee. All our adult dogs have a full panel of genetic health screening completed before breeding. We keep all our dogs in pristine health, providing top quality food and routine health care. We provide a 5 day all inclusive health guarantee, and a 3 year genetic health guarantee for each of our puppies. Contract included in their folder.

Weekly photos and updates. We know what it's like to be a new parent and eagerly await the day you can bring your new puppy home! So when you buy a puppy from us, we email you weekly photos and updates of your new puppy until the week they can go home!

Outstanding puppy raising. Our unparalleled passion, education and dedication to properly raising each of our puppies from day 1 has set us apart from the rest. Our puppies are born in our home, loved on and handled daily by both children and a professional Animal Behaviorist (4 yr degree & 18+ years experience) Your puppy comes with the absolute best start in life possible. (Please do not settle for a kennel dog, the difference is life-long extensive).

Puppy pre-training. We offer many options for pre-training your puppy some things before they go home at 8 weeks old. Including crate training, leash/collar training and simple commands such as sit, down, & come. Please see our individual puppy's page for details.

We do not ship our puppies. However, many people fly into Chicago to pick up their puppy from us and fly back with it as carry-on. (See more about this on our Contacts page). It is HIGHLY preferable that you pickup your new puppy personally. We invite you to see the home where the puppy was born and raised in order to learn what is familiar to them. This provides the most gentle transition to their new home, and we, particularly our children, love to meet our puppies' new families!
We reserve the right to refuse the sale of a puppy to someone for any reason we feel they may be an unsuitable home for the puppy. Every buyer is required to fill out an application before adopting a puppy.
We have a Welcome Home Policy: If for any reason you are unable to keep your puppy, we will receive them back at ANY time (without refund). We do not want any of our dogs abandoned or going to a shelter.
